gansica.back to demo
terms of use

the rules, in plain english.

we tried to write these without lawyer-brain. they're still a contract though, so the binding bits are clearly marked. last updated: May 18, 2026.

01 · the deal

what these terms cover.

these terms (the "terms") are a binding agreement between you and gansica ("gansica", "we", "us") that governs your use of the gansica website, the live demo, the lab, and any related features (collectively, the "service"). by loading the site or tapping play you agree to these terms. if you don't agree, please close the tab — that's a perfectly valid response.
02 · who can use it

you need to be at least 13.

you must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher) to use the service. if you're using gansica on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.
03 · your account

we don't have accounts (yet).

gansica currently runs without sign-in. your "session" lives in your browser's local storage and disappears when you clear it. if we add accounts later, those terms will be added here with notice. until then, you're responsible for keeping your device secure — anyone who can unlock it can keep training your vibe.
04 · your generated music

you own what your swipes make.

every track played in the demo is generated client-side from your swipe pattern, a procedural engine, and (when loaded) Google's open-source MusicRNN model. to the maximum extent we can grant it, you own the recordings produced from your session and may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes (vibing, sharing a clip, making a meme).

commercial use (releasing a track, syncing to an ad, training another model) is not granted by these terms — partly because copyright law for AI-assisted music is still being written, and partly because some underlying components carry their own licenses (e.g. MusicRNN is Apache 2.0). if you want to use a generated piece commercially, email us first.
05 · acceptable use

the do-not list.

  • no scraping or automated mass generation
  • no reverse-engineering the engine for a competing product
  • no rehosting the site or the model weights
  • no using gansica to harass, defame, or impersonate anyone
  • no probing, attacking, or overloading the infrastructure
  • no using gansica where it's illegal to do so
  • no removing copyright or attribution notices
  • no claiming a generated track was produced without ai
06 · our intellectual property

the brand and the engine stay ours.

the gansica name, wordmark, gradient identity, copy, and the proprietary parts of the procedural engine are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark law. these terms don't grant you any license to those, except to view and interact with them through the service in the ordinary way.

third-party components (e.g. tensorflow.js, MusicRNN, Tone.js) are used under their respective open-source licenses; those licenses keep applying to those components.
07 · the waitlist

what happens to your email.

if you join the waitlist we store the email you submit so we can tell you when early access opens. that's its only purpose. you can ask us to delete it any time at bye@gansica.app. full details are in the privacy policy.
08 · beta status

this is a preview. things will break.

gansica is a public beta. features may change, glitch, or vanish without notice. the music engine downloads ~10 MB of model weights and decodes them on your device — older phones may struggle and that's not a defect, it's physics. we don't promise uninterrupted service, perfect output, or that any given track will be reproducible.
09 · no warranty

as-is, with vibes.

the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. some jurisdictions don't allow disclaimer of implied warranties — in those places, the disclaimer applies to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10 · limitation of liability

the legally required boring part.

to the maximum extent permitted by law, gansica and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the service. our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed USD $50 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.
11 · indemnity

you cover us if you misuse it.

you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless gansica and its team from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your misuse of the service, (b) your violation of these terms, or (c) your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights, in connection with your use of the service.
12 · termination

we can pull access; you can walk away.

you can stop using gansica at any time — close the tab, clear your storage, done. we may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you've violated these terms or are causing harm to other users, the infrastructure, or us. sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive termination.
13 · governing law

delaware, USA — informal disputes first.

these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. before filing anything, please email us at legal@gansica.app so we can try to resolve it informally. any unresolved dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to that jurisdiction. if you're a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory local protections, those protections still apply.
14 · changes

if these terms change, we'll say so.

we may update these terms from time to time. material changes will be flagged with a banner on the homepage and a date at the top of this page. continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
tl;dr

be cool, don't scrape us, your generated tracks are yours for personal use.
